Wilde's Wine Bar & Restaurant
is open from midday to midnight, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, we open for private parties, gigs and special events by arrangement. Wilde's is an independent, family business which has occupied the same Regency basement since 1976. We remain true to our founding principles: Good wines - there are fifty or more of them, twenty or so by the glass. The emphasis is Old World, with a dozen or so excellent red Bordeaux a highlight, but the New World is more than adequately represented by major players such as Urlar, de Gras and the Bogle Estate. Good food - and good value. We offer fine dining without stuffiness or pretension. We source fine ingredients from free range and organic suppliers wherever possible, cook them simply and well, and serve them with a smile. Good company - because the right people on our side of the bar attract the right people on your side of the bar. And vice versa. Our gigs will keep you as up-to-date as we are. What's going down in April ...The new Spring dinner menu
is getting some great feedback, and our new lunch menu - with more choice and the option of many dishes as either starter or main - is available from midday Monday to Saturday. Bank Holiday Sunday means:
Kickin' it old school Good vibes, good music and a lie-in the following day as it all kicks off in Wilde's with DJs Charlie (from Bread Club), Robbie (the Rock 'n' Roll Barber) and Ollie (the bassist manager from Wilde’s). Dress the part if you wish - just choose your favourite decade - and come on down. Kickin' It Old School kicks off at 7pm. ______________________ Mondays Unplugged start when the kitchen opens - at 6.30pm. The music usually starts at around 8pm, but you know what musicians are like. Sometimes they even start early. Watch this space for the June schedule. |
